Birthday gifts, anniversary gifts and other kinds of presents can be hard to think about and get organized..
But what on earth do you get your fiancé as a wedding gift?
Now that's a hard one. You want to get something that's truly guna say "this is why you chose me to be your forever". Something that's going to be meaningful and special without being something they'll expect or what could be a typical gift for them.
And that's why boudoir images are an excellent option to consider.
The images are truly unique and personal. You already know these images are one of a kind and will be secretly cherished for many years to come.
And let's take a moment to also admit it would be pretty damn epic to have some really bang'n images of yourself!
Doing a boudoir photoshoot isn't just a present for your s/o. It's a fantastic gift for yourself. Boudoir is extremely empowering - you may be giving yourself and your body to someone else in marriage, but doing things like this, only gives you more power over your body and what you think of it. The love you feel for how damn good you look!
First of all... I know this is something a lot of women wouldn't really consider...
Even I have to admit... it's a pretty damn daunting situation to put yourself into with a stranger. I hope to help people feel at ease and offer the option of meeting potential clients in person before they commit. I try to not make secret of my gender as I know a lot of women feel worried about having photos done with a male photographer.
In saying that... I have never had a woman feel bad feeling the studio! What I love the most about this job is seeing people leave the studio and look and feel on top of the world. Because that's what boudoir is all about. Empowerment and self love.
Plus, you know as soon as your s/o sees the images they are going to be putty in your hands! hehe
Second of all...
I help with all the direction and posing during the session. There's no need to worry about any of this as that's what I'm here for. I'm here to help with EVERYTHING. Whether it be advice on what to wear, what to bring with you, skincare and beauty regimes before your session... but especially posing. I have a pretty good "circuit" in place. This is basically a run through I do with every client of poses and images I know work well with everyone. Of course, it's encouraged that you do some of your own research and find things you might be interested in doing. Bringing suggestions or a "mood board" of saved images to a session gives me an idea of what YOU want and expect out of your photoshoot.
Then there's props...
Props don't have to be anything dodge or kinky. They can be completely to your own comfort level. I quite like the use of wine and whisky glasses/bottles as additions to poses and sets... not only do they give you something to fidget with, but can look really awesome and edgy!
The usual Bridal Boudoir props can consist of the standard bridal lingerie, your veil, bridal garter, engagement ring and a bouquet.... however I do like to suggest personal items. Personal items can be something as simple and meaningful as their favourite shirt, a sports hoodie, or even their favourite dress of yours.
Maybe even a piece of jewellery they gave you back ages ago at a special moment.
Well, there you have it.
